to several literary agents for developing their clients' proposals
and ghosting books on wide-ranging subjects, Vicki
also lends her marketing expertise to a variety of client
projects, including e-mail promotions, direct mail, advertorials,
and brochures.

from bestselling trade books and red-hot book proposals to direct mail letters, brochures, ads, catalogs, event
guides, referral letters, and audiotape scripts have flowed from

Background. During
her studies at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts (B.A.),
Indiana University (M.A.), and in the Performance Studies Ph.D.
program at New York University, Vicki honed her considerable
writing and editing skills.
While in New York City in the 1980s, Vicki wrote and edited
national newsletters. She was recruited to San Diego, California,
by Robbins Research International, Inc., which brought her
there to be the associate/production editor of its 16-page
quarterly publication. Vicki's skill in marketing developed
during her eight years with the company. As part of its in-house
marketing department, she helped create campaigns that enrolled
more than 50,000 people in Anthony Robbins' seminars.
When she joined Just Write in 1995, she allowed the partnership
to expand not only its diverse client services but also its
geographic base of operations. Click

Karen
has become a trusted advisor to author/experts in numerous fields,
including parenting, personal finance, health, mathematics, natural history, and personal development. She has helped dozens of authors get their work in print--and more than a few to the bestseller lists.
Her
experience spans all media: In addition to writing books and book proposals, she has executive produced a radio
show, been managing editor and senior writer with magazines,
as well as edited and written for multimedia projects.

Background. Karen earned her bachelor's degree in English with a minor in philosophy
from California State University in Fullerton, CA and later
completed a professional studies course series in marketing
(including copywriting) at the University of California, San
Diego. Throughout college and for several years after, she
worked in entrepreneurial businesses, supervising operations
and personnel, developing the skills she uses now as Just Write's managing partner.
Prior
to founding Just Write in 1993, Karen and Vicki were colleagues at
Robbins Research International, Inc. in San Diego, where Karen worked directly with Anthony Robbins to help him produce the best-selling
Awaken the Giant Within.
With
the inception of Just Write, Karen was able to broaden her focus on her
professional calling—to help others express their mission
and message--and also to pursue her own writing talents. Click here to view the books

In 1998, Karen and her husband moved from downtown San Diego
to a farm in central Virginia, making Just Write a town and
country, east to west coast business.
